Could i add varnish to a flat paint to get it to look glossy?

Tio offers a valid suggestion.

I paint every day of my life, and without knowing at all the formulation of the PAINT you suggest, Varnish is an alcohol based product, not even compatible with oil based paints, CERTAINLY not with latex.

Not knowing the why of Flat paint anyway, especially latex, with such poor cleanup properties, and far too porous, can you exchange it?

If you have it and must use it, and not knowing wht at all you want Gloss, a latex based clear coat would work over latex, or some POLY over in a clear for any other paint.

Just my 2 ';sense';Could i add varnish to a flat paint to get it to look glossy?
NO it will split the paint and when it drys will crack, chip and peel, the best ting it gloss sray i just got some from Homebase it was 拢4.99 a can and its just like hairspray that you spray over the paint to get a glossy finishCould i add varnish to a flat paint to get it to look glossy?
I would just go and get semigloss paint. If you already bought this paint I would try to return it. To much problems could go wrong with the other stuff. Much easier to start with what you want than to add what you want afterwards.
No you can't. Some clear finishes for paints in aerosol cans are available.Try them.
no but you can put a clear coat on top of the paint to make it glossy
