Looking for a not too glossy finish in either a spray or brush on product - any recommendations ? Painting to be sold through a gallery .Good product to varnish a textured oil painting ?
Some purists may prefer Damar varnish, but it does yellow slightly. I personally love Golden MSA Varnish, it's available in gloss, matte and satin, and comes in both spray and brush-on. Note: brush on needs to be diluted with turpentine before use - that's why I prefer the spray ;-) It really is the best on the market.
