Wood Varnish vs. Acrylic Paint Concealer?

I'm planning to paint with acrylic paint on my canvased converse. The two most popular concealers so that the paint won't come off are wood varnish or acrylic concealer from michael's. Which do you think would would better? I would like to keep the layering as thin as possible so that it doesn't look too glossy, hard and thick.Wood Varnish vs. Acrylic Paint Concealer?
i think varnish will probably turn yellow over time. your best bet is to use 2 or 3 coats of min-wax polycrylic it's water based. you may have to retouch it every couple of months or so depending on what kind of abuse, or lack of, you put them through. there is different finishes also. gloss, semi-gloss or satin.
