Is it possible to varnish a painting without leaving streaks? (brush strokes)?

Is it possible to varnish a painting without leaving streaks? (brush strokes).

How can I apply the vanish so the brush strokes are not visible?Is it possible to varnish a painting without leaving streaks? (brush strokes)?
The varnish is too thick; thin it with mineral spirits until the brush strokes level themselves out.

I don't know where you're from, but in the US, all varnish now comes too thick because of environmental laws concerning VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions. The only way the manufacturers can get within allowable emissions is to put too little thinner in it. Also, they're required to put a warning on the can: ';DO NOT THIN';. Ignore this. It has nothing to do with the performance of the varnish. Thin it.Is it possible to varnish a painting without leaving streaks? (brush strokes)?
I use spray. Sometimes I do not use varnish i use melted wax for a different look. I have even just poured varnish on and let it settle but that collected a lot of dust during the drying stage and did not work out so great.

good luck
varnish your painting carefully and try to spread the varnish evenly.
Lay it flat and pour the varnish over let it find its level and dry
Use an aerosol
A really big brush

Then its just ';brushstroke';
You could try using a soft cloth with varnish
use a spray can polyurethane
try those cosmetic pads
