I have an old cot i am restoreing i have sanded it back now was wondering what paint or varnish i should use?

The latest in paints are so advanced that you could basically use anything. I would go for a water based paint that is washable. Also look for something that is non toxic and with low odor. If it is a nice wood, maybe you could even settle to leave it natural wood instead of painting it again. Sanding it down is the big job, so whatever you choose will be the fun part. Good luck with the painting.I have an old cot i am restoreing i have sanded it back now was wondering what paint or varnish i should use?
I would use some type of lacquer or varnish to paint it with as then you have the naturally beauty of the wood.....consult the pros at your local paint store..I have an old cot i am restoreing i have sanded it back now was wondering what paint or varnish i should use?
