Can i varnish or paint my laminate wood flooring a darker colour?....?

I have laminate flooring in my new apartment and it is of a light colour. I would like to varnish or paint it to a darker brown shade,is there any way this is possible?...Can i varnish or paint my laminate wood flooring a darker colour?....?
If it's laminate, no. If it's wood, yes.

There is no such thing as laminate wood. It's either one or the other.

Laminate flooring is the same material you find on most formica countertops. The wood grain you see is only a print. If you try to sand it, you end up with nothing. It is not meant to have it's appearance changed in any way whatsoever. Can i varnish or paint my laminate wood flooring a darker colour?....?
NO...definitely not. Don't even try it.
no this cannot be dun the laminate is presed on to a resin so i have to say its not good idea
maybe able to after sanding it down
You can, but only if you want to create more problems in future - paint and varnish will peel / flake eventually and varnish does not allow wood to 'breath'. Much better to use wood treatment if preservation is your aim, or woodstain if colour is your priority.

I have used 'Sadolin' and 'Sadotop' internally and exterally for many years with excellent results - it is a preserver, and can be bought in various shades for colouring.
An apartment? Rental?

FIRST!

Research the cost of that floor. You could be held responsible for replacement.

Second! NO paint or varnish will endure on a ';plastic'; surface.

Don't even think about it!
Use woodstain but try it on inconspicuous place first before doing whole floor
Laminated wooden floor can't be varnished directly. But you can try to sand a small area and see whether the surface is able to observe the varnish.

But it is very hard work and also depends on your quality.

Good luck
dont think so laminate is a picture of wood glued onto a piece of mdf then varnished to protect it if try to varnish over this you will cause your self a lot of problems
no,not recommended
I very much doubt it. The laminate has a shiny surface so even if you found something to give the desired colour (which also is doubtful) - the paint wouldn't stick to the floor well enough to take the wear and tear
no sorry i think you'll regret it if you do try and you dont want to pay out for replacement .if you really dont like it and you have the money just buy new now and save the hard work and mess.
No the paint or varnish may look good but wont adhere to the surface for any length of time.
DONT waste your time even thinking about it it wouldn't wear
Just don't clean it as the dirt builds up it will look darker but may not smell very good.
