How long must i wait for acrylic paint to dry before i can apply the varnish?

im kinda new at this so i really have no idea...... when do i apply it? will it melt or run if i apply it too soon? How long must i wait for acrylic paint to dry before i can apply the varnish?
Acrylic can dry as fast as 25 mins. So give it a day and that should be fine. Use a polymer, (acrylic) based varnish like solvar. No melting no anything will happen! How long must i wait for acrylic paint to dry before i can apply the varnish?
If you check the technical specs on acrylics, you'll discover that although they feel dry within minutes, they take much longer to ';cure';. Acrylics cure by evaporation, and atmospheric conditions and temperatures could prolong the drying time. Thick layers could take a couple of weeks or more.

Professionals will wait for a week or up to six weeks before they varnish. The hazard of varnishing too soon is the appearance of white or cloudy spots beneath the varnish when un-evaporated water rises to the surface and becomes trapped beneath the varnish. This cloudy area cannot be repaired and you can't paint over varnish.

Note: Acrylic mediums and gels are not impervious to water %26amp; airborne pollutants, and so do not provide any protection as varnishes do.

What's the rush? Best to be safe. Read this tech info:

Nah! Acrylic is a dream. If it looks dry and feels dry, it's dry.
